Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the presider during the celebration of Mass.  This is accomplished through paying close attention to the Liturgy thereby being able to anticipate what they can do to assist the presider as Mass progresses.

Altar serving is open to all boys and girls interested in taking an active role during the celebration of Mass.  There is formal training and refresher training courses offered twice a year.

Altar servers must have made their First Holy Communion.  They are scheduled monthly together with the EM’s and lectors.  They are permitted to request the Masses at which they prefer to serve.
